I'm sorry that he responded that way- that always feels awful because it's such a vulnerable question.

You have two choices: you can either keep seeing him, and deal with the situation as it is (keeping your intense feelings under wraps and waiting for him to express his deeper feelings), or, you can tell him the truth (that you really care about him, and ask if he feels the same. This is the riskier way to go, and if you chose this path, then you have to be prepared that he may not feel the same way, and in that case, it could spend the end of your relationship.

How do you solve this? It depends on what you want. Do you want a really deep connection and true love? If so, and if this gentleman can't provide it, you'll have to walk away, and free yourself up for a new relationship.

If you don't mind having a causal relationship with him, and are okay with him not taking it to the next level, then this relationship is fine. What would you like to do? What does your gut tell you?

I am a Virgo woman desparately seeking the love and attention of a Cancer man. We were dating for a month then I asked the BIG question "where is this relationship heading?" and scared him away.
