Interrogation
Scorpio behavior when in love goes through a series of tests. The first test is the interrogation. It is during this phase where Scorpio asks a series of questions to find out more about you. Sounds normal enough, right? Wrong. While it may be billed as getting to know you, it really is more like a job interview; the goal is to eliminate candidates.
Where other astrological signs are just trying to get to know you, Scorpios are trying to figure out if you are worth their time and energy, both of which they are stingy about giving! Pass this test by being sincere in all your answers; don’t lie. Scorpios hate lies, and when they find out the truth (and they will find out) you’ll suffer greatly for it!
Suspicion
Here’s the funny part. You can be Honest Abe and Scorpios will still be suspicious. Don’t worry about it; this is just part of their nature. Trust is very difficult for them, so when they start the integration process all over again, just lovingly reassure them of where you were and with whom (or whatever the situation happens to be), and they’ll eventually move on.
Do You Really Love Me?
Let’s say everything is going swimmingly. You’ve been honest, have answered all their questions and are now one half of a loving, committed relationship. The next step of Scorpio behavior when in love is designed to examine the depth of your love.
What does this look like? Well, it starts slow, perhaps with flipping through your cell phone’s address book. From there, it’s "Why can’t I meet your family/friends?" Even if Scorpios have no intention of meeting your family/friends, they’ll ask! Next, the test moves on to your photograph albums. As you can imagine, all pictures of any ex-girl friends or boyfriends will be unceremoniously dumped. This is where your sun sign comes into play.
A clinging crab may cry uncontrollably, but follow through with Scorpio’s demands. A Sag may claim it’s the principle of the thing, and refuse to do so (until they grow weary and begrudgingly agree). Now do you see why this can blow up into a huge fight and or test of wills? This purging process also depends rather heavily on the other partner’s astrological chart.
Jealousy
If you’ve made it through that test, congratulations! You’re almost finished. Now comes the jealousy portion. Scorpios are notoriously jealous and controlling. Combat this undesirable personality trait with reassurances and never say that so-and-so is attractive or handsome. Never. It may sound extreme, but then again, Scorpio is a sign of extremes (balance is left to the sweetly dimpled Libra) and runs hot and cold in the bat of an eyelash.
If You Fail…
Don’t fail. Scorpios have a reputation for being dangerous, and they actually are. Although it’s unlikely that this danger will turn physical, it is highly likely that the damage will be emotional and psychological.
A wounded Scorpio is a dangerous Scorpio, and he or she will use every piece of knowledge they have obtained throughout the course of your relationship (remember the interrogation process?) to rip you apart. By the time they are done tearing through all of your emotional baggage, you’ll be quivering in your boots wondering if this person really "can" read minds!
Is it Worth It?
When the going gets rough, and it will, just remember that Scorpio uses these tests as a way to protect their very sensitive feelings. Just as a real scorpion only reacts when in severe danger, so too does their namesake. It really does hurt them to hurt you, so when at all possible, just go through their relationship rites.
