Moon Sign Table
From LoveToKnow Horoscopes
An accurate moon sign table will tell you which zodiac sign your moon falls in; it can also help when planning events.
The Moon Sign Table
Before delving any deeper, one needs to know their moon placement. This process is not complicated; all you’ll need is your birth year and birthday. However, it’s not necessary to know your time of birth for this calculation, but if you know it, it can prove very helpful. That’s because the moon can change signs at anytime; having the exact time of your birth makes the placement more accurate. Once the moon sign table has shed light on your particular placement, you are ready to learn more.
- Using the table: There are several different ways one can use a moon table. It can be used in the event of planning special days, like a wedding or a party, and it can be used to help understand your personal astrological chart as well. Here’s how.
The Moon and Timing
Void of Course
When it comes to timing, the most important factor to consider is the "void of course period". This is where the moon is about to change from one sign to another. During this process, the moon may or may not make applying aspects to other planets. Most astrologers believe that, in order for events or plans to go well, you need to work with the energy of the moon.
With a void of course period, many believe that "nothing of consequence" takes place or that things will not turn out as expected. The bottom line is why tempt fate? The moon is usually void of course for only a short amount of time anyway (usually a few hours), so it doesn’t hurt to just wait until it’s safely ensconced within a sign before moving ahead.
The New Moon
The best time to begin a project, start a romance or do anything of consequence is just after a new moon. This represents a fresh start, a new beginning. The energy is very favorable for plans to move forward, and hopefully, eventually succeed. These new moons are considered "gifts" from the universe where one can plant the seeds of events they’d like to see come to fruition.
The Full Moon
The full moon has long been looked upon as a special and romantic time throughout the ages, and as many probably know, myths and stories abound about full moons. The full moon period, in astrology, represents a time when things reach a tipping point; things come to fruition. Here’s how the lunar cycle works in everyday life.
For example, let’s say you meet someone just after a new moon. The chemistry’s right, the two of you click, but there’s a conflict of schedules and the only time available for a date is on or around a new moon (about two weeks later after the initial meeting). This is perfectly acceptable and in fact, is the way most astrologers would like to see a romance come to fruition. The same holds true if you are looking for a new job. Send resumes out just after the new moon, schedule interviews during the following two weeks, and with some luck, accept an offer around the full moon.
In Personal Charts
The moon describes your emotional nature, and the aspects it makes in an astrological chart show how you respond in personal relationships. There are an infinite number of aspects the moon can make.
The important thing to take away form this is whether the aspect is an easy one (trine or sextile), or a more difficult one (square or opposition). The way astrologers talk about these aspects is that they look at them as "conversations". So, it’s very common to hear an astrologer say "the moon is in conversation with Neptune" or "the moon is in conversation with Venus"; it’s the aspect that tells us what they are saying.
