Compatible Zodiac Signs: The Elements
A lot of factors go into the cosmic soup of compatibility, and when these factors are just so, voila!; compatible zodiac signs are born. So what makes this recipe just right for compatibility? A lot of it has to do with the elements.
Here, the term element refers to earth, fire, air and water. Knowing which element is associated with your zodiac sign helps you to understand yourself better and those around you. Let’s take a closer look at those elements.
Earth Signs
Earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are blessed with the gift of making dreams and plans a reality. Highly ambitious earth signs have their feet firmly planted on the ground and know how to get things done. These are the folks who inherently know how to make an existing structure even stronger, and they know how to bring their plans to fruition.
Fire Signs
These highly creative signs enjoy delving into new concepts. Warm-hearted and full of life, they enjoy being the center of attention and crave the stimulation that comes from being with others. Their energy burns most brightly when they’re exchanging ideas with others. They are also known to be impulsive and spontaneous. The fire signs Aries, Sagittarius and Leo are the natural leaders of the zodiac.
Air Signs
Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius love to analyze facts, proclaim judgments and are well known for their high level of intelligence. Curious, playful and extremely verbal, these are the natural communicators of the zodiac. They love to socialize, and just seem to know everyone. They also increase their energy by being around others. Air signs, mainly because of their excellent communication skills, tend to have close personal relationships and often keep their friends for life.
Water Signs
Emotional and intuitive, the water signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces often display some psychic ability (this also applies to those with a heavy influence of water in their charts). Their sharply honed emotional skills make them compassionate, caring and nurturing. These signs tend to feel the events around them, and their instinctive responses are usually right on target. If you are a water sign, you may notice that you pick up on the true emotions of those around you, and because of this, you may need time to yourself to recharge your batteries.
Compatibility Horoscopes: The Best Matches
We’ll only be dealing with the sun signs for our compatibility horoscopes, but keep in mind that many elements go into making a compatible zodiac sign connection.
- If you are an earth sign: If you are an earth sign you’ll tend to get along best with your fellow earth signs, as well as with the water signs. Fire and earth is usually not a great mix, since earth tends to dampen fire’s enthusiasm. Earth and air can coexist, but the relationship may not be anything special.
- If you are air sign: Air signs get along great with other air signs, water signs and fire signs (we don’t call them great communicator’s for nothing!). Although you do get along with the earth signs, it can be a slightly suffocating relationship.
- If you are a fire sign: Fire signs love their fellow fire signs, as well as the air signs. They also get along well with earth signs with a little extra effort. Water signs, however, tend to be too emotional, too “feely” to really a make a fire sign feel at ease. In light of this, it’s best to steer clear of each other.
- If you are a water sign: Water signs get along well with other water signs, air signs and earth signs. Fire and water, unfortunately, don’t mix.
A Final Note
It’s extremely important to realize that a lot of factors go into the compatibility of zodiac signs. While doing a composite chart analysis, be sure to take note of Venus placements, moon signs and the angle of the planets of each individual. Many people, even those who on the surface, astrologically speaking, are not compatible, have gone on to have life-long fulfilling relationships. So, take heart. Just because some signs appear to be incompatible, it doesn’t you can't make the relationship work!

Okay, here's what I see:
- Sun conjunct Venus, Mercury conjunct Venus, Venus conjunct Jupiter: These are great aspects.
Literally it means that you both like the way the other looks, and you can speak to one another with relative ease. It may not seem like much, but these are factors that are very important in a relationship.
- Venus sextile Uranus: This is a good aspect that creates that love "buzz". If one or both of you feels "electrified" when around each other, it's because of this aspect.
Also, you may bring out each other's more unusual side, or you may find yourself making spontaneous utterances or declarations of like/love fairly quickly, or make those declarations in an unusual place.
- Mars square Venus, Venus square Neptune: Both of these aspects are slightly troubling, but nothing disastrous.
With Venus and Neptune, they'll be some aspect of putting someone on a pedestal. It can also feel like the person is "perfect", which of course, is not true- this would just be how one (or both of you) sees the other. Just remember that Neptune is all about "illusion".
For Mars square Venus- hold on to your hat because there's a lot of attraction! However, because of the square, it can swirl very internally or seem very difficult (for some reason) to "release" that tension
- Mars sextile Saturn: This is good because it can spell longevity.
- Neptune Square Jupiter: Lastly, try to be very honest with one another. This aspect doesn€t have to spell lies, but it can spell miscommunication. Just to be on the safe side, try to make sure that all communications are above board.
So, to conclude, I think there are some really great aspects here, but keep in mind that I can see both birth times, so there will be other aspects in addition to these. That said, we wish you the best of luck with this relationship!
